Restaurant-Style Chicken Tender Wraps and Chicken Wings in Airfryer

Cookalong with Frida and Ciana in Frisco, Dallas Texas, USA and me here in Sollentuna, Sweden. We made Chicken Tender Wraps and Chicken Wings in the the Airfryer.

Crispy Chicken Tenders and Wings, restaurant style, came out so perfect in the Airfryer! Recipe for regular oven is to be found in a separate post here on my website already. For the Airfryer I prepared them the same way. But no cooking in oil. Heat on the Airfryer 180 celsius degrees for about 25 minutes. I turned them after about every 10 minutes and than put them back in for about five more. After done tossed in the hot sauce and enjoyed. Crisp on the outside, moist on the inside. No oil except a light brush to get a little golden colour.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup potatoe starch/cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs or crushed unsweetened corn flakes
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 10 chicken wings/Chicken tenders
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¼ cup hot sauce
  • 1 dash ground black pepper
  • 1 dash garlic powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 chili
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 tomatoe
  • pickeled cucumber
  • Oil /spray or 1 tbsp to brush on
  • 1 package tacobreads

Instructions:

In a small bowl mix together the flour, crushed cornflakes/breadcrumbs, paprika, cayenne pepper and salt. Place chicken wings and chicken tenders on a tray and pat dry with papertowels.

Crack the eggs in a bowl.

Place the flourmixture in a ziplockbag or another bowl.

Coat the chickenparts by dipping in the eggmixture and than in the breadmixture.

Spray with the oil on each side of the Chickenparts.

Fry in the airfryer in badges. Do not crowd the Airfryer. Do equally large parts together. Tenders by themselves and chicken wings/legs by themselves.

Heat airfryer to 360 degrees F (180 degrees C).

Fry chicken tenders for about 5-6 minutes and turn and fry for another 5-6 minutes until golden, crispy and done through.

Chicken wings/legs will take longer. Fry 10 minutes and than turn and add another 10 minutes. Check and maybe fry for 5 more minutes. Check that you don´t burn them and you can stick a toothpick in to see if they are done.

Combine the butter, hot sauce, pepper and garlic powder in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir together and heat until butter is melted and mixture is well blended. Remove from heat and reserve for serving.

When the chicken tenders and chicken wings/legs are done. Toss them in hot sauce to coat them if you wish. Or keep the sauce for dipping. I did both.

Chickentenders for the wraps I tossed in the hot sauce and than cut in small slices.

Make the Wraps

Place tacobread on the table and spread on some hot sauce. Add chopped onion, chopped chili, sliced chicken tenders, shredded cheese, pickled cucumber and chopped tomatoes. Fold to a package. Spray the tacowrap with oil on both sides and place back in the airfryer until golden and the cheese melts inside. Or place them in a frying pan and turn as they get golden.

Serve with hotsauce for dipping.

Prepare the Chicken Wings/Legs

Chicken Wings/legs tossed in hotsauce can be eaten as they are with some more dipping sauce on the side or with some fries or sallad.
